Technical Rescue

Rescue2Crossville/Cumberland County Technical Rescue Team is compromised of members from the Crossville Fire Department and the Cumberland County Fire Department.  The team is fully equipped for high and low angle rescues as well and cave rescue.  The Crossville Fire Department supplys 22 members to the team and a full compliment of rescue equipment.  The team is ready to respond to emergencies inside of Crossville and Cumberland County.

Training

The Crossville Fire Department Training Division is responsible for the education of the career and volunteer staff. Firefighters train on a regular basis and must maintain many different certifications. The department participates in the Tennessee Commission on Firefighting certification levels. As well the department utilizes the Tennessee Fire and Codes Academy for on and off campus fire related courses.

The Crossville Fire Department provides the Hazardous Materials Response Team for the City of Crossville and is a member of the joint response team for Cumberland County.  The fire department currently has 21 Tennessee certified Hazardous Materials Technicians.  The team is fully equipped with extensive training and experience in the field.

Dive Rescue

DiveTeam4The Crossville Fire Departmet is proud to offer a full spectrum of services. The department has a 9 man dive rescue team.  The team consists of 1 Dive Master, 1 Master Diver, 3 Rescue Divers , and 4 Open Water Certified divers.  The team is fully equipped for search and recovery operations in both the warm and cold water.  The team has received extensive training from PADI and SSI.  The team has been very active in the region where they have responded to recovery operations in Dekalb County, Loudon County, and Cumberland County.
