Inside City: $5.34/1,000 gals
Outside City: $8.02/1,000 gals



Sewer Rates:
Inside City: $7.54/1,000 gals of water used

  • A minimum fee for 2,000 gallons will be charged regardless of consumption

 

  • An additional charge of 10% will be added to all bills not paid by the discount date stated on the bill.

Leak Adjustments - Customers can receive two adjustments per year provided the bill is over 50% of their average bill.  Customers will be asked to provide two meter readings collected 3 days apart, after leak is fixed.

Water Meter - Please keep all meters free of weeds, trees, rocks, debris, or other structures which hinder reading and maintenance work.  No fences shall be erected around meters without gates accessible from the street directly, and in close proximity, to the meter.  No animals shall be kept around meters which could be hazardous to city employees or their representatives.

JOBS

The Department of Human Resources is responsible for the development, interpretation and coordination of policies and procedures for Human Resources and administrative functions of the City. This includes but is not limited to: administrative tasks, pay practices, training and development, employee benefits; staffing employment, discipline, compliance, legal issues and other related functions and activities. The Human Resources Director ensures the maintenance and legal management of all city employment records and other records as necessary. This department is responsible for providing professional advice to management on city policies and procedures, state and Federal Law and regulations, and any other areas that relate to Human Resources activities including but not limited to: EEO, Family Medical Leave, and HIPPA. Ensures that all local, state and federal laws, regulations and guidelines are complied with and keeps abreast of developments in the Human Resources field and employment law.

The Public Works Department is responsible for the City of Crossville's low pressure sewer maintenance, water maintenance, grinder pump systems, fire hydrants, cemetery graves, street right-of-way maintenance, sidewalks, traffic signals, drainage, street signs, street cleaning, snow removal, various road projects, garbage can replacement, groundskeeping, and mechanical/vehicle maintenance.

Effective November 4, 2018, you will notice certain traffic signals within the City limits placed on “flash” during designated hours to ease the flow of traffic during low traffic hours. Operation hours of lights on flash will be from Midnight to 5:00 AM. Traffic signals will resume normal operation after 5:00 AM.

 

Remember to follow the rules of the road and proceed according to City Ordinance 15-507 found under Title 15, Chapter 5, page 24 of the City of Crossville, Code of Ordinances:

 

 1.Flashing red (Stop signal). When a red lens is illuminated with intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles shall STOP before entering the nearest crosswalk at an intersection or at a limit line when marked, or if none, then before entering the intersection, and the right to proceed shall be subject to the rules applicable after making a stop at a stop sign.

 

 2.Flashing yellow (Caution signal). When a yellow lens is illuminated with intermittent flashes, drivers of vehicles may proceed through the intersection or past the signal ONLY WITH CAUTION.


Leaf Pickup

2018 Leaf Collection Schedule

 RULES FOR LEAF COLLECTION:

1.Leaves must be within 6 feet of the curb in order for the vacuum truck to reach them.

2.Leaves DO NOT need to be bagged. However, if you choose to bag your leaves, they will be picked up.

3.Leaves must be free of limbs, branches, trash, etc.

4.TO NOTIFY THE CITY OF CROSSVILLE YOU HAVE LEAVES READY TO BE PICKED UP, PLEASE CALL THE PUBLIC WORKS OFFICE BY CALLING 931-484-7631.

 

Every possible effort will be to pick up leaves as soon as possible after a work order being placed with Public Works. However, weather plays a huge factor in the amount of time necessary to collect leaves.

 

*There will be NO leaf collection during November 19 - 23, December 24 - 28, 2018 and December 31 – January 4, 2019.

 

 Trash Cans

For information regarding trash or replacement trash cans, please call Cumberland Waste Disposal (CWD) at 931-456-2434.

CWD's holiday pick up schedule is as follows:

 CWD does not run the regular route on Thanksgiving and Christmas days.  If your address is scheduled for one of those days, the trash will be picked up the following day. 

The regular pick up schedule applies for all other holidays.

SEASONAL OPERATIONS ASSISTANT

CENTENNIAL PARK

The City of Crossville is now accepting applications for the position of Seasonal Operations Assistant at Centennial Park through the Department of Labor located at 60 Ridley Street. This position is primarily a night and weekend position with some day work.   The person in this position will perform a variety of Maintenance and operational tasks. Requires a high school diploma plus 3 to 5 years of related experience. Must be able to use a tractor and a variety of small power hand tools.   A complete job description is available upon making application.
